Cash-out Amount for EZTeller User with ACD is Populating Only the Coin Field

When a teller is doing transactions with cash-outs, the recommended cash-out amount is going only into the coin field. The teller is able to edit the cash-out denominations and then the ACD dispenses those bills correctly.

Workaround:

In this case, we know that EZTeller is interfacing with the ACD, the cassettes are configured correctly, and that there are bills of the correct denominations within the cassettes.

Steps:

  1. Log in to EZTeller and go to Admin > Cash Dispenser > Denominations.
  2. If the Status is marked as OFF, click on the Clear button.
  3. The denominations should now read OK.
  4. Exit EZTeller and restart.

EZTeller connects to Automated Cash Dispensers (ACDs) via the CompuFlex Windll interface. Settings are entered in EZTeller under Admin > Cash Dispenser > Supervisor Options and are written to the computer's registry. If settings are not being retained, it may be that the user does not have sufficient permissions on the computer. We suggest logging on to the PC as local administrator and then reentering the settings within EZTeller.

Under Supervisor Options > Misc., the journal file path can be set to a location on the PC. The inventory file must be on a shared folder so that both tellers using the ACD are writing to the same file and therefore have the correct cash amounts.

If a teller logged in and could not connect to the inventory file, the software would have determine that the ACD was out of those denominations and would have set the status to OFF.
