Clearing a Servicing Director User Password.

Clearing a Servicing Director User Password.

If you don't know the password for a Servicing Director user, you can clear or reset the password, which removes the current password, requiring the user to enter a new password at the next login.

If you enter the wrong password for your Servicing Director user more than the number of attempts allowed by your Servicing Director Security settings, then the user will be locked.  Once the user is locked, then the system will not let you login as that user until the user is unlocked.

If the user is locked, then see other information about unlocking a Servicing Director user.

Have a Servicing Director user, which has administrator access to the System Administration>Security Setup screen, clear the user password.

  1. Open the System Administration>Security Setup screen.
  2. Highlight the user on the Security screen, and click the Clear Password button.
  3. Click Close.
  4. At this point the previous user password is removed, leaving the password field blank.
  5. When you login as this user with the blank password, the Servicing Director login will proceed, but it will display this message:
    • Blank passwords are not allowed.
  6. Click OK to this message, and the Change Password screen will be displayed.
  7. On the Change Password screen, skip entering a value in the Old Password field, and enter your choice of a new password in the New Password and Re-enter Password to Verify fields.
  8. After you have your new password entered, click OK.
