Collections Bankruptcy screen has a blank filing state for some loans

When you open the Collections New Bankruptcy or Edit Bankruptcy screen in Servicing Director, the Filing State list is blank for some loans, where other loans have a list of states.

Workaround:

The loan with the blank Filing State list may have been boarded or imported into Servicing Director using a custom method that mistakenly left the loan country as a blank value.


Correcting the Country field for an individual loan

You can resolve this issue for one loan at a time by correcting the country set for a loan using the Property screen. 

  1. Open the Property screen for a loan where the country is blank.
  2. Select the correct Country field.
  3. Click OK to close the Property screen. 

Note: The Property screen displays the default country when the country is blank. Therefore the Property screen does not show you a blank Country field, and you cannot use the screen to determine if the country was blank before opening the Property screen.


Correcting the Country field for all loans

To correct all the loans added by the custom method, the database Property table Country values need to be corrected using additional custom methods. Your custom method of boarding or importing a loan should also be modified to set the correct country for new loans as well. Finastra support for Servicing Director supports the Servicing Director applications only as delivered on Support Center, and therefore custom methods are not covered by this support or this article.

Have your administrator review your custom method to board or import your loans to determine which of the following apply:

  • If you purchased the custom method from the Finastra Customization Department, submit a case through Case Management and specify that the case be sent directly to the Customization Department.
  • If you did not purchase the custom method from Finastra, then have your administrator check your Service database for Property table Country values that are blank (), and ensure that all loans have a Country value. The default value would normally be USA.
