Configuring a Training Workstation to Receive Simulated Host Override Messages.
EZTeller Enterprise can be configured to run in a simulated host mode. This allows tellers in a training environment to use any account number and real customer accounts will not be affected.
Follow these steps to configure the workstation:
- Browse to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\EZTeller folder and locate the EZEnterprise.ini file.
- Double click on the file to open with Notepad.
- Add or edit as follows: Simulation=1.
Now you are ready to process transactions in a training environment. If you only enter the account number in the account number field, you will get a host acceptance message. If you put an override code in front of the account number, you will get simulated host override messages.
The following are three examples of host override codes you can use to get simulated host override messages.
- Teller Override:
- TO<account number>—requires teller override.
- TO123456.
- Manager Override:
- MO<account number>—requires manager override.
- MO123456.
- No Override:
- NO<account number>—rejection, no override allowed.
- NO123456.
