Configuring the WinDLL Supervisor Options in EZTeller to Save the ACD Inventory and Journal Files to a UNC Path Rather than to a Mapped Drive

You want to move the ACD Inventory and Journal files to a new location and want to use a UNC path. The WinDLL settings default to saving the file location as a mapped drive.


The WinDLL ACD program writes its settings to the registry on the workstation. To modify the Inventory or Journal file location to a UNC path you must edit the registry directly.
 

  1. Log onto the PC as Administrator.
  2. Go to Start > Run and type in Regedit and then click the Enter button.
  3. Browse to HKey_LocalMachine > Software > Compuflex >Windll.
  4. On the right side of the screen, locate Inventory File.
  5. Right-click on Inventory File then select Modify.
  6. Type the UNC path in the Value data field then click the OK button.
  7. On the right side, locate Journal File. 
  8. Right-click on Journal File then select Modify. 
  9. Type the UNC path in the Value data field then click the OK button.
  10. Close out of Regedit.
  11. Log into EZTeller as level 4 or higher role.
  12. Go to Admin > Cash Dispenser > Supervisor Options > Misc and verify the UNC path.
