Converting the Servicing Director Mini-Milar Export File From a CSV Format To an Excel Spreadsheet

Servicing Director produces the Mini-Milar Export file in the industry standard CSV, Pipe delimited format. If you have to provide a file in Excel, complete the steps in the procedure to convert the CSV file you produced from the Servicing Director Mini-Milar Export event to an Excel format. You will need to do this monthly, with each new export.

Complete the Mini-Milar Export event following the normal process.
Open Excel, go to Data and then "From Text" and point to the export file created in step 1.
Progress through the wizard steps where you select the delimiters and other options.
Pick Delimited as the first option and check 'My data has headers'. Then select Next.
For Delimiters, unselect 'Tab' and select 'Other' and put a | in the box. Pick Text qualifier = 'None'.
You can click and select the data type of each column. If you do not, a default will be automatically selected.
Save your selections.
