Creating a New EZTeller Role
In EZTeller Enterprise, EZTeller Roles are created in Superview. In order to add, edit, or remove EZTeller Roles, your current working group needs to be at the branch level, and your current role’s authority level needs to be equal to or greater than the authority level of the roles you are creating. EZTeller Roles are defined according to job responsibilities; authority levels and unique number are defined according to the employee, such as teller cash drawers, the Vault, ATMs, supervisor or manager, and system administration. An EZTeller Role must be assigned before the employee will be able to access EZTeller and/or Superview; these roles can be shared, but only one employee can use it at a time.
- Log into Superview and select the branch as your working group.
- Go to EZTeller Roles > Maintenance; click on Add.
- In the Description field, type either the teller's name or the role description.
- Type the role number in the Number field.
- Select the Authority Level:
- 0: Vault Teller assigned to vault, coin vault or ATM roles.
- 1: Trainee
- 2: Teller
- 3: Sr. Teller
- 4: Supervisor has access to Superview and can do overrides.
- 5: Manager authority is unlimited to the branch level.
- Administrator 6-19: Administrator has more authority than a Manager. The authority level you enter needs to be equal to or greater than the authority level of the group you want this role to access.
- Administrator 20: used for system administrator who has unlimited authority.
- Set the Cash Assist Options:
- None: the teller is not required to enter cash denominations.
- Recommended: EZTeller suggests the logical denominations for cash out.
- Manual: the teller enters the denominations that will be dispensed.
- Automatic Cash-In Verify: select this field to require the teller to enter cash in denominations.
- Set the Cash Assist By:
- Amount: the teller would enter 100.00 if giving out $100 in 20's.
- Count: the teller would enter 5 if giving out $100 in 20's.
- Login Option: If Superview Access Only is selected, the role cannot log into EZTeller.
- Warning Levels and Limits:
- Low and High Cash Warnings display a message to the teller when their cash is below or above drawer limits.
- Signature Display Amount defines when signatures automatically pop up in EZTeller. This is a license file setting by the signature display product.
- EZTeller Role Short and Over Limits determine which roles can override a teller cash difference. The default for Level 2 Teller is $10.00 allowing a teller authority level to override their own differences up to $10.00. This field may be edited per the parameters defined by the bank.
- EZTeller Role GL Accounts:
- The Over and Short GL # will automatically populates the Acct of Ref# field when the teller does a Post Over or Post Short transaction.
- The Cash GL# shows on the Teller Role Cash Report.
- The Limits button brings up cash limits. Those are established under Profile Options > EZTeller > Maximum Authority Limits.
- The Security Details button are specific to Supervisor, Manager and Administrator roles and displays the security details which have been established by the system administrator under EZTeller Roles > Security Details Defaults.
