Error When Attempting to Connect to OFAC

An error occurred attempting to connect to OFAC. OFAC will be disabled. Contact your supervisor and/or system administrator.


Root Cause:

When you sign into EZTeller or Superview the error occurs. You are missing the FFAPI32.DLL file from your C:\Windows\System32 folder. This file is provided with your Thomson FAC Filter program.


Environment:

EZTeller

Workaround:

  1. If all users are receiving the error message, contact Thomson to obtain the FFAPI32.DLL file.
  2. If only one user is receiving the error message, copy the FFAPI32.DLL file into the C:\Windows\System32 directory.
  3. If only one user is receiving the error message and does have the FFAPI32.DLL file in the C:\Windows\System32 directory, the file may be corrupted.  Replace with a new copy of the FFAPI32.DLL file into the C:\Windows\System32 directory.
  4. Restart EZTeller or Superview.
