Error When Deleting a Payee in Servicing Director: The selected record cannot be deleted because it's being used by a related record

The selected record cannot be deleted because it's being used by a related record


Root Cause:

This message occurs because the Payee that you are attempting to delete has one or more loans with tax or insurance records associated with it.

The system will not permit you to delete this Payee.

Workaround:

Instead of deleting the Payee, you should make the Payee inactive.

This is done in the System Administration Table Setup Payee screen as follows:

  1. Click Edit on the Payee screen.
  2. Select the the box named inactive.
  3. Click OK.
