Duplicate Station Name.
Root Cause:
A duplicate CStation Name is in use at another workstation. Each workstation must have a unique CStation Name, and/or you need to modify the "C" in the CStation Name--it must be upper case. Example: C1234.
Workaround:
In EZTeller®32:
- Exit EZTeller32.
- Browse to C:\Windows or C:\WINNT, depending on your operating system.
- Open the EZCOMM.INI file and locate CStation Name=.
- Modify the Station Name using upper case "C" and a valid number. Example: CStation Name=C1234.
Note: Having a duplicate CStation Number causes the second workstation to be bumped into Online/Inactive status when the teller opens EZTeller.
- Close and save changes made to the EZComm.INI file.
- If you continue to receive the error message, contact EZTeller Client Services at 1-800-437-2252 for further assistance.
In EZTeller Enterprise:
- Open Superview > select the bank as your Working Group.
Note: EZTeller Enterprise 5.1 and greater provides a workstation report that lists all the assigned workstation names. This report is located under Reporting > Reports > Admin tab. To generate this report, select the box in front of Workstations and click OK.
- Select Profile Options > Workstations > Host and Comms.
- Modify only the workstation receiving the Duplicate Station Name error from the Workstation Name list.
- Select > Comm-Sockets tab.
- Modify the Station Name using upper case (C) and a valid number. Example; CStation Name=C1234.
- Click Apply.
- If you continue to receive the error message, contact EZTeller Client Services at 1-800-437-2252 for further assistance.
