Connection Denied: Comms: Invalid Connection Name.


Root Cause:

A user is signing onto a workstation and the error occurs. The workstation could be missing the CStation number or the Cstation number is invalid.


Workaround:

  1. Open Superview and select your role.

Note: Superview access is defined under Security Details. If you don't have access to this module, contact your administrator.

  1. You must select a working group when your structural hierarchy is displayed. Select the branch level you are modifying and then click OK.
  2. Select Profile options >Workstations > Hosts and Comms.
  3. The default radio button has Modify only the selected workstation selected.
  4. Highlight the workstation to edit.
  5. Click on the Comm - Sockets tab.
  6. Verify the CStation Name and edit.
  7. Click Apply.
  8. Click Yes to the message: "Profile changes have occurred on the Comm - Sockets page for 1 workstation. Do you want to save these changes?"
  9. Click OK to go back to the main screen.

Note: The tellers must exit EZTeller and restart before this change will be recognized.
