Invalid SQL Database Role
Root Cause:
This message appears when trying to reset an employee's SQL password.
The employee who is trying to reset the SQL password must have the correct permission in the SQL database to reset SQL passwords. If you are unable to reset SQL passwords, contact your database administrator.
Workaround:
Employees who are allowed to reset SQL passwords in Superview must have either Security Administrator or System Administrator authority.
- Contact your database administrator to add reset password authority for you.
- Open SQL server.
- Select the Security folder.
- Select the Login folder.
- Double-click on the employee to open and edit.
- Select the Server Roles tab.
- Check System Admin and/or Security Admin.
- Click OK and close
- The employee must exit Superview and sign back in order for the change to be recognized.
