Large Font Sometimes Overlaps Other Fields or is Cutoff

On some Windows 7 desktops with the Servicing Director applications, some of the application screens have text displayed outside of the screen area for the text, possibly flowing onto other text or being cut off. For example, on the Customer Service Dates screen, the text title of each date field can overflow onto the actual date displayed, making the first numbers of the date displayed hard to read.

Workaround:

Most Servicing Director screens use a Microsoft provided bitmap MS Sans Serif font, and the size of the font is controlled by Windows. Windows 7 can automatically set the size of this font to 125% of normal (increased or high DPI) during the install of Windows, causing the font to be too large to fit all screen areas in Servicing Director.

A Windows issue will prevent regular Windows procedures from ever being able to return the font to normal 100% size.

At the time of this writing, it is understood Microsoft support has an advanced Windows procedure to force a font file change on Windows to correct this issue. Have your local IT or Windows administrator refer to Windows support resources for a resolution regarding the Windows 7 setup to High DPI for MS Sans Serif and apply the changes recommended by Microsoft.
