Loan Legal Status or Warning Status Fields Are Disabled and Cannot Be Changed

Starting with Servicing Director 7.8, the Legal Status and Warning Status fields are disabled, making them grayed out, and the values cannot be changed.  Both the Customer Service > Status screen and the Collections > Status and Stops screens have the same outcome.


Workaround:

This outcome is by design. 

Starting with Servicing Director 7.8, the ability to change the Legal and Warning status became a user security setting for all users except the user named ADMIN.

The upgrade to 7.8 made this user security setting disabled for all users.  After the upgrade, you have to edit the security settings for each individual user to allow the user to change the fields.

To enable a user to change the Legal or Warning status, use the System Administration>Security Setup screen to edit each users security settings. 

Checkmark the Access Legal Status setting to enable the user to change the Legal Status. 

Checkmark the Access Warning Status setting to enable the user to change the Warning Status.
