Preventing Tellers from Accepting Transactions on Special Accounts.

You want transactions on specific accounts to be approved by management before being processed by the teller. Alerts can be created for any special conditions or instructions associated with an account. 

 


Environment:

EZTeller

The Special Accounts Monitor, or SAM, is a module that allows supervisors to create and maintain a table of accounts that have alerts or special conditions. When users access a SAM account in EZTeller, they are alerted to any special conditions or instructions associated with the account. SAM is checked for alerts before transactions are sent to the host.

  1. Log into Superview and select the bank as your workgroup.

Note: Selecting the Bank as your working group allows all branches to view alerts created at any one of the locations. 

  1. Go to SAM > Admin.
  2. Click on Add Account.
  3. Enter the account information and Save.
  4. You are now on the Account Alerts tab. 
  5. Put a checkmark for Override Required and type in the Authority Level to override.
  6. Complete the Notify Teller On section, mark Any Transaction over .01
  7. In the Remarks field at the bottom of the screen, type the message that will display in EZTeller. 
  8. When a teller attempts to do a transaction over the amount defined in Step 6, the teller will see the Remark and will not be able to complete the transaction unless she receives a manager override.
