Renaming an Existing EZTeller Workstation

The bank wants to change the Workstation Name on existing EZTeller workstations.


Steps to Change the Name of a Workstation

  1. Log into Superview and select the bank as your working group.
  2. Go to Bank > Workstation Setup.
  3. Click the + at the left of the bank name.
  4. Click the + at the left of the branch name. The workstations for branch will display.
  5. Select a workstation and click on Edit.

Note: A Workstation Name can be up to 4 letters, numbers or combinations of letters and numbers.

  1. If the Workstation Type has not been defined, you will need to select a type. Then click OK.

Note: You will not be able to edit workstations that are in use.  


Further Information:

  • When workstations are created under Bank > Workstation Setup > Add, EZTeller adds them to the database with an ID that is based on when that workstation was added.
  • If workstation MO14 was added under Main Office and was the forty-sixth workstation added, the workstation ID in the database would be 46.
  • In the ezenterprise.ini on that workstation, it will read  StationID=46
  • MO14 is the label that has been associated to workstation 46.
  • If the bank changes the Workstation Name to M123 the workstation ID will still be 46. 
  • Host and printer settings will not be impacted by changing the label on the workstation.
  • Transactions will be listed correctly in EZTeller reports with new workstation name.
