Root Cause:

This error only occurs on custom Crystal Reports documents that use the advanced Prompt for Parameter feature in Crystal Reports. This error occurs in Servicing Director 14.2 when you see a Crystal Reports "Enter Parameter Values" prompt, enter values, and click Run or Send on the corresponding event (in Event Manager or Send from the Letters or Module Reports windows).

Servicing Director 14.2 includes an upgrade to Crystal Reports 13. Research indicates a change by SAP in Crystal Reports 13 prevents custom reports using this feature from being run; SAP knowledge article KB 1688710 addresses this issue.

Servicing Director has never supplied any documents that use this feature or have knowingly supported such a feature. That being said, we are working diligently to provide a solution to allow customized documents that use this feature to continue working.  

Workaround:

If you have custom Crystal Reports documents using the Prompt for Parameter feature, you can postpone upgrading to Servicing Director 14.2 and continue using Servicing Director 14.1 with Crystal Reports XI. We will provide year-end updates for both Servicing Director 14.1 and 14.2 so you will be able to run your year-end processing in Servicing Director 14.1.

If you have already upgraded to Servicing Director 14.2, the Event Manager Criteria Preview window can still successfully perform this Crystal Reports feature as follows:

1. In Event Manager, highlight the event for the custom document event on the right-hand pane of scheduled events.
2. Click Criteria.
3. Click Preview. The Crystal Reports preview will display the "Enter Parameter Values" prompt. Enter values; the document preview will be displayed.
4. Click the Print Report or Export Report icons on top of the Crystal Reports preview window.
5. Complete printing or exporting the document.

Note: Printing or exporting from within the Crystal Reports preview window is not logged by the Event Manager event logging.
