Servicing Director 15.3 or Later Applications Error: "The procedure entry point InitializeCriticalSectionEx could not be located..."

The procedure entry point InitializeCriticalSectionEx could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.


Root Cause:

This error can be caused by attempting to run the Servicing Director applications on an older version of Microsoft Windows that is no longer supported by Servicing Director, such as Windows XP or Windows 2003 Server. 

Workaround:

Use a version of Windows listed on the Servicing Director System Requirements article published in the Knowledge Center for your version of Servicing Director.
