Servicing Director Applications Installation Error: "The File ... is not marked for installation.."

The File 'xxxxx' is not marked for installation.

Note: In the example above, the 'xxxxx' is a placeholder, and your message will have the file name of a Servicing Director application instead of 'xxxxx'.

Root Cause:

The error means the installation program found a version of the Servicing Director application file already in place on the desktop computer, the same or newer version.

Workaround:

This is an unusual situation, because Windows Installer manages the versions installed, and it should have indicated the newer version was installed earlier before this error occurs.

Search the Windows programs list and confirm the same or newer Servicing Director applications product is listed.

If it is listed, then you may not need to install the applications, as you may have upgraded the computer already.

If it is not listed, then search the Program Files folder on the computer for the Servicing Director application files and delete them, followed by attempting the installation again. The default location for the Servicing Director program files folder is: C:\Program Files (x86)\D+H\Servicing Director.  Delete the entire Servicing Director program files folder, and attempt the installation again.
