Servicing Director Archiver Screen Error: "CopyFile() file failed [ExtractToTempFile]"

Servicing Director Archiver Screen Error: "CopyFile() file failed [ExtractToTempFile]"

CopyFile() file failed [ExtractToTempFile]

Archiver was unable to find and/or display the document.

Root Cause:

This error is caused when the archived document file is missing or cannot be read.

The most common cause for the document file to be missing is when the archived document files are moved from their original network shared folder without updating the Servicing Director system. If the document files are moved, but the Servicing Director database still has an archiver record for the document file location, then the Servicing Director applications will try to open the document file from the wrong location, leading to this error.

Another cause could be your Windows user account running the Servicing Director applications does not have Windows permission to read the document file.

Workaround:

If the document file has been moved, locate the archived document file and return it to the archiver folder displayed as the correct location displayed by the Servicing Director Archiver screen.

If the archived document file is not missing, then have your local IT confirm the Windows user account running the Servicing Director applications has Windows permission to read the file.
