Root Cause:
This error occurs during the Servicing Director Installation. It can be caused by entering a server name with "\\" (double backslash) characters to the beginning of the server name.
Workaround:
Resolve this by entering just the Microsoft SQL Server name. Do not add the "\\" to the beginning of the server name.
If you have a Microsoft SQL Server Named Instance name, enter the server name, a single backslash, and the instance name. The named instance only uses the single "\" backslash character between the server name and instance name (servername\instancename).
