Servicing Director Letters Screen Displays Sent Successfully but Nothing is Sent when Using Word 64 Bit Version

When you use the Servicing Director Send Letters screen to send a Mail Merge letter using Word 64-bit version, the letters are blank without any printing, and Servicing Director Letters screen displays the message the letter was sent successfully.

Workaround:

This is an issue found on Servicing Director related to using Word Word 64-bit version.

Servicing Director has 32-bit applications, and therefore Word 32-bit version is recommended to resolve this issue.

As an advanced workaround, your local IT can use Windows procedures to create an ODBC data source named "Servicing" specifically for 64-bit applications.  To do this, use the following information:

  1. Use the ODBC Data Sources control panel for 64-bit applications (typically found in the path C:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe).
  2. Use the System DSN tab.
  3. Select the SQL Server Driver or if available, the SQL Native Client driver.
  4. Name the data source "Servicing".
  5. Select the data source authentication method "With SQL Server authentication using a login ID and Password".
  6. Select the default database named "Service".
  7. All other data sources settings are default.
  8. Click OK to save the changes.
