Servicing Director Printing Is Not Working
Your Fusion Servicing Director document will not print.
Workaround:
The Servicing Director product installation delivers many reports and letters, and there can be more than one way to print a document. Be sure to note which Servicing Director application screen you are using to print from, and which document fails to print.
Servicing Director relies on the local Windows print system, sending document printing to Windows and the product role in printing ends there. Be sure to have your local IT involved in the troubleshooting because the Windows print system may be the cause.
If your letter or report is provided from the product installation files, then check the following:
- Is there any message displayed on the screen when you try to print? If so, note the exact text of the message and have your local IT review the message.
- Are you using the Windows default printer? Servicing Director will automatically print to the Windows default printer if no other printer name is provided or if the printer name provided is invalid at the time of printing. If you are printing to the default printer, make sure the default printer is working.
- Are you able to preview the document? Previewing the document will confirm whether the product is working correctly, as all the functions short of having Windows perform the printing is completed when you preview the document.
- Are all users having the same results? Have another user try printing from their desk.
- Are all documents having the same results? Select to print a different document.
- Are all printers failing? Select to print the document to another printer you have available.
- Which version of Microsoft Word do you have installed? Some documents use Word to print, and be sure you have a version of Word which will work with Servicing Director. This is particularly important for the Payoff Letter, and if you are using the Word format for the Payoff Letter, see the related article about problems printing the Payoff letter. The versions of Word which will work with Servicing Director are listed in the Servicing Director System Requirements published in the Knowledge Center.
- Have your local IT staff inspect the printer operation as a Windows printing issue.
Note: To further discuss the Windows printing issue, submit a case through Case Management.
Custom Documents
- If the document was not provided from the product installation files, then you have a custom document. A custom document would be a add-on document to your Servicing Director installation, adding a document to the system after it was installed or upgraded. For more information about custom letters or reports, review the related articles about Creating a Custom Letter or Report.
- If you have a custom document, then support for the custom document is provided by the provider of the document. If you purchased the custom document from the Professional Services Customization Department, submit a case through Case Management and add to the case that you need to contact Customization about a custom document.
