Servicing Director User Is Only Able To View Masked Borrower Tax ID And Is Unable To Edit The Borrower Tax ID

A User in Servicing Director may only be able to see the borrower Tax ID as masked (last four digits), and also may not be able to edit the borrower Tax ID.

Environment:

Borrower Tax ID

Workaround:

Servicing Director has security in place to allow your institution to control which users can see the full, unmasked borrower Tax ID and a separate security control to designate which groups of users can make edits to the borrower Tax ID.

If you wish to allow users to see the unmasked Tax ID on all screens throughout the Servicing Director application, then this must be set up at the user level by your System Administrator in charge of setting up security for Servicing Director.

  1. In the System Administration application, on the Security Setup screen, select a user and Edit.
  2. If you select the Tax ID Access check box, this user will be able to view social security or Tax ID numbers throughout the system.
Note: If the check box is unselected, this user will have the Tax ID appear as masked and they will only see the last four digits throughout the system.

If you wish to allow users to be able to edit the Tax ID, this security control is set at the Group level.
Note: Any setting or change made at the Group level, will affect all Users assigned to that Group.

  1. In the System Administration application, on the Security Setup screen, select Groups, then select Group Name and Edit.
  2. Expand Collections, then select Edit Tax ID. Select the appropriate check boxes to either View or Update or both.
  3. Follow the same steps by expanding Customer Service.
  4. Depending on which options you have checked, individual users in this Group will either be able to only view, or make edits to the borrower Tax ID.
