Servicing Director Year End Rollover Update Did Not Finish Using the Automated or Unattended Servicing Director Event Manager Run All

Year end processing using Event Manager which is run automatically or unattended (without human interaction required) is not recommended.
However, if you are running Event Manager automatically or unattended as part of your year end processing, including running the Year End Rollover event, the Year End Rollover event may not finish if the Servicing Director settings for that event are incorrect.

Workaround:

First, confirm which of your scheduled events completed by reviewing the Event Log by Date report created specifying the date of the events you want to confirm.  Use a second computer with the Event Manager application if necessary to create the Event Log by Date report.

Confirm the Year End Rollover event started but did not finish. Also confirm which other events (if any) which did not start after the Year End Rollover.

Confirm when the Year End Rollover event started, and that you have allowed enough time for the event to finish.  How much time is long enough differs for each customer system, but you may recall how the event has run for your system in prior year end procedures.  Allow up to two hours if your system is extremely slow.  If you have allowed enough time for the event to complete, and it has not completed, then you can use Windows Task Manager to terminate the Event Manager process named EventMgr.exe.

To complete the Year End Rollover, do not click the Run All button again, and instead return to your end of year procedures.

Confirm your Year End Rollover Reporting Year criteria is set to the just ended business year.  For example, if today is end of the day on 12/31/16, then the just ended business year is 2016, and the Reporting Year criteria should be set to 2016.

Confirm your Prior Transaction Posting date is correct for your business and that the Prior date is the date of your last day of business for the just ended year.
You can confirm the Transaction Dates for your system using the Company table transactions screen.  For more information about viewing the Transaction Dates, search Knowledge Center with the keywords Servicing Director Viewing Transaction Dates.

For some businesses, the Prior Transaction Posting date may be your last day of business for the year and not be 12/31.  For example, if your very last business day is 12/30 and all your transactions and adjustments for the year are completed, then your Servicing Director end of year procedures could be directing you to run the Year End Rollover event at this point.

Then run the Year End Rollover event manually, and individually, highlighting the event and clicking the Run button on the upper right (and not clicking the Run All button). Continue to run any other events which did not run successfully as other manually and individually run events.

For the year end processing next year, either disable the automated or unattended running of Event Manager for the duration of the year end or look to the End of Year Processing procedures for the "Year End Run All without Reminder – current year only" check box, the required setting for the Year End Rollover event to complete automatically.
