System Requirements for Servicing Director 18.2

This article details supported environments for Servicing Director servers, clients, and interfaces. Any environment not listed here are not yet fully tested; and therefore, might not be supported.

IMPORTANT! Servicing Director will drop support for the following in 2019:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (32-bit and 64-bit) with Windows 2008 Service Pack 2
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2
  • SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 R2
Client
  • Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Microsoft Windows 8 (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Processor 1.0 GHz or faster, 1GB memory, 3GB hard drive space (disk space requirements will vary; if you archive documents on the client, you may need more space)
  • Microsoft Word 2007, 2010 or 2013
  • Microsoft Installer 4.5
  • Additional required Windows updates available from Microsoft (the Servicing Director installation will install these if not present):
    • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6
    • Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 (x86) - 14.0.23026
    • Microsoft ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server (Microsoft version number 12.00.4219 or a later 12.x version)
  • Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 Run Time version 13.0.15.1840 available from SAP (the Servicing Director installation will install these if not present)
  • Laser printer: Servicing Director supports most Windows-compatible printers
  • Adobe Reader for viewing PDF format documents; free download at http://www.adobe.com/
  • (Optional) SAP Crystal Reports XI or 2013 user edition for the PC (if you design reports)
  • Thin client technologies such as Terminal Services/Remote Desktop Services/Citrix XenApp/VDI are NOT supported
Server
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (32-bit and 64-bit) with Windows 2008 Service Pack 2
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2
    IMPORTANT! If you are installing Servicing Director 17.3 on Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, you must apply Microsoft Update #2919355 to the server. Access the Microsoft Knowledge Base for more information about this update.
  • Processor 2.0 GHz or faster, 4GB memory (should be increased as database size increases to ensure optimal performance), 6GB hard drive space (disk space requirements will vary; estimate 1GB of hard disk space for every 1000 loans; if you archive documents on the server, you may need more space)
  • SMTP server (anonymous access) is required for Servicing Director automated emails. (Office 365 SMTP server does not support anonymous access).
  • SQL Server:
    • SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012; Express, Standard, or Enterprise editions; (x86 or x64).
    • The SQL collation sequence must be SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS; this is set during the SQL Server installation and cannot be changed.
    • SQL Server Cluster servers are not supported for Servicing Director. The Servicing Director database is not tested or designed for a SQL Cluster server.
    • SQL Server database replication is not supported for Servicing Director. The Servicing Director database is not tested or designed for a database with replication enabled.
  • Microsoft Installer 4.5
  • Additional required Windows updates available from Microsoft (the Servicing Director installation will install these if not present, but a reboot may be required before the Servicing Director installation can continue):
    • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6
    • Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 (x86) - 14.0.23026
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 System CLR Types 10.00.2531.00 (x86), and (x64) on Windows 64-bit systems, from the SQL 2008 Service Pack 3 Feature Pack (required regardless of version of SQL Server database engine)
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Management Objects 10.00.2531.01 (x86), and (x64) on Windows 64-bit systems, from the SQL 2008 Service Pack 3 Feature Pack (required regardless of version of SQL Server database engine)
    • Microsoft System CLR Types for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 SP1 (x86), and (x64) on Windows 64-bit systems, from the SQL 2012 Service Pack 1 Feature Pack (required regardless of version of SQL Server database engine)
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 SP1 Shared Management Objects (x86), and (x64) on Windows 64-bit systems, from the SQL 2012 Service Pack 1 Feature Pack (required regardless of version of SQL Server database engine)
  •  Internet connectivity and browser for downloading and installing product updates and patches as needed and used to support interfaces
IMPORTANT! Servicing Director cannot be installed on a Microsoft domain controller.

Virtualization
Servicing Director is supported in a virtualized infrastructure. A technical conference call will be scheduled prior to your installation; this call includes network configuration review, analysis, and formal recommendation.
