Teller Journal is Blank after End of Day on December 31st
After balancing and declaring an End of Day on December 31st, or last working day of the year, you select View Last Transaction. When the Journal Scan screen appears, there are no transactions listed in it.
Workaround:
Until the system date on the file server and the workstation reflect the new calendar year, you have to view transactions by creating a custom query for that date. Follow these instructions to create the query:
- In EZTeller, Select Admin > Journal Scan.
- Select New Query.
- In the Query Name field, type a name or keep the default name. Click OK.
- In the Configure Query screen, select the Date tab.
- In the Search Options section, clear the Current Day option and select Calendar Day.
- In the Enter the dates for desired records field, type the date of 12/31/XXXX (where XXXX represents the year just ending). Click Save.
- In the Query Selection screen select your newly created query.
- Click Run Query. All transactions processed on that day should appear in the Journal Scan screen.
- Click Close to return to the main menu.
