There is a Problem Interfacing with the Scanner when Scanning Images in EZID

You are trying to scan an image in EZID and get a message stating:

There was a problem interfacing with the scanner.

The following may be a solution to the problem:

  1. Leave your scanner On and Re-boot your computer.
  2. Try running a Scan Test with the scanner's manufacturer's software.
  3. Try selecting the appropriate scanner by clicking the 'X' button, and then try to scan.

Workaround:

  1. Sign into EZID.
  2. Go to Admin > Options.
  3. The EZID Options page will display. Click on the Scanning Properties tab.
  4. Go to Miscellaneous Information > Scanning device to use and click the Browse button.
  5. Select the correct scanner.
  6. Click Apply.
  7. Close.
