There is No Setting in Superview That Can be Enabled so Validations Print Darker

There is no setting within EZTeller or Superview to make validations print darker.

Environment:

EZTeller

Workaround:

A couple of suggestions are:

  • Purchase black ribbons instead of blue ribbons and replace the ribbons regularly.
  • Turn Caps Lock on at the workstations so that letters on money orders and cashier's checks print in upper case.

In Superview, there is a setting to change font size on validation titles:

  1. Go to Profile Options > Transactions and click on the Validation Printing tab.
  2. Clear Print Small Font to enable the larger font on validation titles.

For banks that use Epson TM-H6000 printers, there is a setting on the printer that changes the print density on receipts and lists. This setting does not affect validations, only the printing on the thermal receipt paper.

  1. Power off the printer and turn it upside down.
  2. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the small cover on the bottom of the printer.
  3. In Dip Switch Set Two (DSW2) you can change the print density by turning switches 3 and 4 ON or OFF.
  • 1-lightest density: 3 and 4 ON
  • 2-Default: 3 and 4 OFF
  • 3: 3 ON and 4 OFF
  • 4-darkest density: 3 OFF and 4 ON
  1. Turn the printer right-side up. Make sure that the paper roll is on the sensor.
  2. With the printer powered off, hold down the Feed button while turning it on. A self-test prints. The Printer Density prints about four inches from the top of the self-test.
  3. Turn the printer off, and then back on again to clear the self-test.
  4. Once the settings have been finalized, replace the cover.
