You may find that real estate loans and general ledgers in UltraData FSP are not being updated with information from Servicing Director through the Servicing Director UltraData Batch Interface as expected.
This information is updated in UltraData by importing a daily set of Servicing Director created export files.
The export files contain information about payment information, loan balances, delinquency information, loan history, co-borrower information, or general ledger transactions.
If the real estate loans and general ledgers are not being updated as expected, the problem may be some failure in creating the export files or importing the files into UltraData. To find the failure, all the steps and details need to be reviewed with each person in your organization performing these steps.
Workaround:
First, review creating the export files with the person in your organization responsible for running Servicing Director Event Manager application events. Do the following on Servicing Director:
- Do not click on the Run All button. Do not choose to Run All scheduled events until troubleshooting this problem is completed, and you want to move forward and do the Run All scheduled events for the end of a new business day.
- Stop all Servicing Director users from entering new transactions. Do not enter new transactions until troubleshooting this problem is completed. Enabling Servicing Director Read-Only mode is one way to do this. See other articles for more information about how to enable Read-Only mode.
- Confirm the transaction dates in the System Administration application by selecting Table Setup > Company, then clicking the Transactions tab. Confirm all three dates listed in the Transact Posting Dates section for Current, Prior, and Last. See other articles about the meaning of these dates.
- Create the Event Log By Date report from Event Manager, using the start time criteria of the last known good Run All scheduled events. Enter the StartTime > date of last known good Run All scheduled event in the criteria. See other articles about how to run the Event Log by Date report.
- Locate the current copy of each of the UltraData FSP export files, and rename them to save them under a different file name. The export events create the export files in the user-defined location on your network shown in the Criteria of each scheduled event. Note whether the Windows displayed Modified date is current and whether there are data records viewable in the files.
-
Review the Event Log By Date report for any errors on the UltraData export events. The Servicing Director Event Manager application creates the export files from these events:
- UltraData CoBorr Export
- Ultradata GL Export
- UltraData Hist Export
- UltraData Mtg Export
- Review the Event Log By Date report further for other errors and note the exact full error message logged in the report.
- Review any Event Log By Date report error message with your local IT and system administrator to see if there is a local, non-Servicing Director cause for the issue, which can be resolved.
- Locate and confirm your most recent Servicing Director database backup files.
- If you find you can resolve the cause of the failed event, you may be able to re-run the UltraData events. If one of these UltraData export events failed, you can re-run these export events. You can re-run report events, which are events with the word Report or Rpt in their title. Other events should not be re-run until further reviewed with customer support. You can re-run the individual event or events by highlighting each individual event, and clicking the Run button. Do not click the Run All button.
- If you cannot resolve the cause of the failed events, then contact Finastra support using Case Management on the Finastra Customer Success Community website.
If your review of Servicing Director and creating the export files does not find the issue, then review the next step of transferring these files to your UltraData host and the success of importing the files using the CU437 program.
Depending on the situation and the failure you find, some steps can be re-done, and others (such as General Ledgers) may have to be manually updated in UltraData.
Typically the UltraData CoBorr Export, UltraData History Export, and UltraData Mtg Export will update UltraData with the correct information the next time they are processed successfully. However, the UltraData GL Export, which contains daily general ledger transactions only, may not be re-run and will need to be updated in the UltraData system manually.
