VIEW SERVER STATE was Denied on Object Server, Database Master

You received the following Fusion Servicing Director applications error: There was an error checking the number of users due to the following reason: VIEW SERVER STATE was denied on object 'Server', database 'Master'   The user does not have permissions for this action.


Root Cause:

This error can be caused by changes to the Microsoft SQL Server. The error may appear immediately when launching any Fusion Servicing Director application with the error message appearing before the Servicing Director login screen. This issue prevents Servicing Director field maintenance logging.


Workaround:

Workaround that should be performed by your system administrator or local IT:

  1. Run the Fusion Servicing Director server program named LSCNFG with the FixRights option. Refer to the related article for a description of the procedure for running the LSCNFG program.
  2. Make sure your Servicing Director applications have the the ODBC data source named Servicing set to use SQL authentication. Review the related article for more information on the procedure for changing the ODBC Data Sources to Use SQL Server Authentication.
