When Windows 7 Computer Goes into Sleep Mode EZTeller Goes into Database Disconnected
When a Windows 7 computer goes into sleep mode, the user has to exit EZTeller, log off the workstation, log back on, and restart EZTeller in order to reconnect to the database.
Workaround:
Changing Sleep Mode settings on a Windows 7 computer:
- To access power plan options, type power settings into the search bar in the start menu and select enter or click on Power icon on task bar.
- Under preferred plans, select the radio button: Power saver.
Note: There are three predefined preferred plans to select from; Balanced, Power Saver and High performance.
- Click on change plan settings under the selected preferred plan.
- If you do not want the computer to go into sleep mode, select Never under put the computer to sleep drop-down for both; On Battery and Plugged In. You can also change the amount of inactive time before the computer goes into sleep mode.
- Click on Save changes.
