When Windows 7 Computer Goes into Sleep Mode EZTeller Goes into Database Disconnected

When a Windows 7 computer goes into sleep mode, the user has to exit EZTeller, log off the workstation, log back on, and restart EZTeller in order to reconnect to the database.


Workaround:

Changing Sleep Mode settings on a Windows 7 computer:
  1. To access power plan options, type power settings into the search bar in the start menu and select enter or click on Power icon on task bar.
  2. Under preferred plans, select the radio button: Power saver.

Note: There are three predefined preferred plans to select from; Balanced, Power Saver and High performance.

  1. Click on change plan settings under the selected preferred plan.
  2. If you do not want the computer to go into sleep mode, select Never under put the computer to sleep drop-down for both; On Battery and Plugged In. You can also change the amount of inactive time before the computer goes into sleep mode. 
  3. Click on Save changes.
