Restricting Servicing Director NSF Fees to State Limits
The NSF fee can be changed at the loan level to exceed the restriction placed for the state in Table Setup.
A warning message has been added to the Late Info screen and Reverse Payment screen to warn users that the NSF Fee entered exceeds the state limit for that property state, loan type and lien position as established in System Administration Table Setup.
Also, a Company option is available to indicate whether you want to allow users to enter a NSF Fee amount that exceeds the state level amount in Table Setup. If you do not allow users to override the state level, the screen cannot be saved unless the NSF Fee amount entered is the amount in Table Setup or less. The Company option is set to prohibit the override by default. To change this option, go to Table Setup > Company > Transactions.
To enter the state NSF Fee amount, go to Table Setup > State, Region and County > select the desired State and go to the Fees tab.
Note: If the NSF Fee is $0.00 in Table Setup, the Late Info screen and Reverse Payment screen will not perform any validation of the NSF Fee when an amount is entered for the loan.
No restrictions were added to the Fee Assess/Waive screen, available in Customer Service and Collections, as this is not necessarily representative of a single fee assessment or waiver. You may wish to review permissions to this screen if you want to restrict users from making changes on this screen.
