In the Customer Service Module, Payment Screen, there is a field called "Lead Bill Days". This field is available for Non-draw loan types. This field represents the number of days (0-28) prior to the billing date, a Monthly Billing Statement will be sent.
The Monthly Billing Statement Update event does not look at the "Lead Bill Days" field to select loans. It selects Loans based on Next Coupon Date, Next Periodic Bill date and other factors, like payment method.
The Monthly Billing Statement Update event does use the "Lead Bill Days" to update Next Coupon Date and Next Periodic Bill date for the next bill.
The Monthly Billing Statement Update event does use the "Lead Bill Days" to set the Next Coupon Date. This allows the user to do an out of cycle bill for what ever reason, and have the system get the next bill back on schedule by using the number of lead bill days prior to the next due date to set Next Coupon Date.
