After the Event Manager run all scheduled events, you find the completed events did not include some event you wanted to run.
For example, you have a power outage during your end of day processing, so the Event Manager run all scheduled events is interrupted.
It may be possible to run the missed event individually with certain conditions.
Workaround:
IMPORTANT! Do not click on the Run All button. Do not choose to Run All scheduled events until troubleshooting this problem is completed, and you want to move forward with the Run All scheduled events for the end of a new business day.
- Stop all users from entering new transactions.
- Do not enter new transactions until troubleshooting this problem is completed.
- Enable Servicing Director Read-Only mode is one way to do this.
Note: For more information about how to enable Read-Only mode, search Knowledge Center with the keywords Read-Only.
- Locate your most recent Servicing Director database backup files, and create a new backup at this point.
- Confirm the transaction dates on the system by opening the System Administration application>Table Setup>Company>Transactions tab.
- Confirm all three dates listed in the Transaction Posting Dates section, for the Current, Prior, and Last.
Note: Generally speaking, most events use the Prior Transaction Posting Date for their work, and the Prior Transaction Posting Date must be correct. For more information about the Prior Transaction Posting Date, search Knowledge Center with the keywords Transaction Dates.
- For the Prior Transaction Posting date to be correct, it must be the date of your most recently completed business day.
- For the Current Transaction Posting date to be correct, it must be the date of your next business day.
- If these dates are not correct, contact client support using Case Management (https://customercenter.dh.com).
- Create the Event Log By Date report from Event Manager with criteria to limit the size of the report.
Note: The Event Log by Date report is important for reviewing the events and their results. For criteria, add the start time criteria combined with a recent date, such as the date of the last known good Run All scheduled events. Enter the StartTime criteria with the greater than operator (>) and the recent date. For more information about the Event Log by Date report, search Knowledge Center with the keywords Event Log by Date.
- Review the Event Log By Date report you created and confirm the missed event did not run.
- Locate the missed event.
- If you know the event is scheduled, but the event is on a schedule for a different day, then display the schedule for a different day using the Event Manager>View menu>Calendar, and select the different day from the Calendar. The scheduled events for the Calendar selected day should appear.
- If you know the event is not scheduled, select the event from the Event Manager available events, drag it to the right to place it on the event list, and schedule the event as needed.
- Add Criteria to the event as needed.
Note: If the event is the Monthly Interest Accrual (System Administration - End of Day Updates) event, you must enter the criteria selecting Use Entered Date. For more information about the Monthly Interest Accrual, search Knowledge Center with the keywords Monthly Interest Accrual.
- You should be able to re-run the event. You can re-run the individual event by highlighting the individual event, and clicking the Run button.
Note: Do not click the Run All button.
- If you are uncertain about these procedures, contact client support using Case Management (https://customercenter.dh.com).
