Servicing Director Event Manager Events Unexpectedly Added to the Scheduled Run All Events

The Event Manager completed the Run All events, but certain events unexpected were added to the schedule of events and were run, with a reference to the events in the Event Manager Run All log file or on the Event Log by Date report covering that date and time.

Workaround:

There is no known issue for Event Manager to start events not on the selected list of scheduled events, other than the user adding an event to the list, just before starting the Run All events. 

Therefore, if user did not add an event, then the unexpected event must have been on the schedule of events set when Event Manager started the Run All events.

Event Manager will always log the starting of every event on the scheduled events, which means that even if an individual event fails, the start time will be logged in the Run All log file or the Event Log by Date report. The schedule of events can be modified easily by they user, and it can be unclear at a later time which schedule or which event changes the user selected just before Event Manager Run All was started. 

Which events are scheduled on a given day will depend on the scheduling options chosen for the event. If you have events scheduled to run on specific days and not daily, (for example, once a month at the end of the month) then care must be taken to schedule the event correctly to have the event scheduled for that date. 
You must maintain the Event Manager Holidays calendar to be sure it has the current non-business holidays and weekend days. The event scheduling includes the option to make shedule changes based on your Holiday calendar. 
When a user opens Event Manager, the default schedule of events selected will be the schedule of events for the current transaction posting date at the time the Event Manager opens. This means that if the current transaction posting date is incorrect or not the date expected, then the schedule of events may be unexpected as well. 

Note:  If you run Event Manager unattended, from Windows software scheduling software to run Event Manager by command, then Event Manager selects the schedule of events based on the computer clock date. This differs from from when a user starts Event Manager, and the schedule of events by default is based on the Current Transaction Posting date. Beware, running Event Manager unattended after midnight is not recommended. The unattended Event Manager run after midnight will select a list of events from the next day, based on the after midnight computer clock date. This is not usually an issue for daily events as they are on every schedule, but if you schedule any events to run on specific days and not daily, then be careful to schedule them to run on the next day--the day after your original choice of day. For example, if you have an event which needs to run only the "last day of the month", then schedule the event to run on the the 1st day of the month because the computer clock date after midnight of that last business day of the month will be the 1st of the next month.
