Deleting Old Servicing Director Connect Real time Payment Interface ConnectLog.txt Files
The Document Portal folder on your Servicing Director Connect Real time Payment Interface stores ConnectLog.txt files. The ConnectLog.txt files are a log of the Interface processing steps. recording the processing which took place for a transaction over the Interface, and the log file is not part of the transaction itself. Once the processing is complete, the log file is no longer necessary to store. These log files can build up over time and consume hard drive space Also, if the number of files in the Document Portal folder becomes too large it can cause issues for the Operating System when opening that folder and can even crash the server. Therefore, the files should be deleted from time to time to prevent this from happening.
- Locate the Document Portal in your Servicing Director Connect server. The folder will be located on your web server in this location: X:\Program Files (x86)\Harland Financial Solutions\Connect\.
- Open the Document Portal and sort the files by date.
- Delete the files in the date range that you wish to delete. You may wish to keep the most recent log files for review if ever needed.
- Exit the Document Portal.
