To upgrade to 19.1, is Windows Server 2016 required?
No. All versions of Windows server from 2008 through Windows 2016 are supported for version 19.1

To upgrade to 19.1, is SQL Server be 2014 or 2016 required?
Yes, to use 19.1, SQL 2014 or 2016 is required for your production server.

The 19.1 database product installation software will not require SQL 2014 or 2016 to complete the installation. The installation can be completed on the older versions of SQL server supported on version 18.4, or on SQL 2014 or 2016.  However, 19.1 is supported only on SQL 2014 or 2016, and therefore upgrade immediately to SQL 2014 or 2016 to have a supported 19.1 version. 

Can I upgrade the Windows server version to 2016 while still using version 18.4? 
No, you cannot use 18.4, because 18.4 is not supported on Windows server 2016.  However, you can immediately upgrade to 19.1. 

Can I upgrade the SQL server version to 2014 or 2016 while still using version 18.4?
No, you cannot use 18.4, because 18.4 is not supported on SQL server 2014 or 2016. However, you can immediately upgrade to 19.1. 

When will support for Windows 2008 and 2008 R2 Server be ended?
Release 20.1 will end support for Windows 2008 or 2008 R2. 

When will support for Windows 2012 and 2012 R2 Server be ended?
Windows 2012 and 2012 R2 Server will continue through Release 20.1, and support is anticipated to end with the Microsoft end of support in 2023 .

What will happen if use 19.1 on a server which is not SQL 2014 or 2016?
Using 19.1 on a server which is not SQL 2014 or 2016 is not supported, which means the outcomes can be unknown, and any issues found to be related to the unsupported servers could be outside of the scope of the regular support agreement. Best effort support can still be provided, where the first recommendation will likely be to upgrade the servers. 

Does Finastra perform the upgrade of Windows or SQL server?
Use your own Microsoft support resources to obtain new versions of Windows or SQL server and upgrade or install them. 

Can I upgrade Windows or SQL server in-place, where I use the Microsoft products to upgrade the same server?
Yes, if the Microsoft products successfully create a Windows Server or SQL server 2014 or 2016 server. 

Can 19.1 use another SQL instance of SQL server 2014 or 2016 on the same server I use for 18.4?  
Yes, the Servicing Director products can use a SQL instance. 

What are the 19.1 Servicing Director system requirements?
The 19.1 system requirements are published in the Knowledge Center. Please search Knowledge Center using the keywords system requirements for Servicing Director 19.1. 

Which SQL settings do I select when installing SQL server for Servicing Director?
The Servicing Director required SQL server settings are published in the Knowledge Center.  Please search the Knowledge Center using the keywords Servicing Director required SQL server settings. 

Does Finastra perform the migration of the Servicing Director server?
Your local IT or system administrator performs the migration of the Servicing Director server, or you can request to purchase the project from the Professional Services team.  If you wish to request this from the Professional Services, contact Servicing Director support using Case Management with the request, and the request will be forwarded to the Professional Services team for a proposal of the cost and schedule. 

What needs to be done to move the server to another Windows server?
There are many parts to Servicing Director, including more than just the SQL databases, and possibly including other integrated software or interfaces. For more information, search Knowledge Center using the keywords Servicing Director moving production server.  

Is there documentation on how to migrate the Servicing Director server?

If I have the Customer Self-Service add-on to Servicing Director, does version 19.1 require Windows 2016?
No. All versions of Windows server from 2008 through Windows 2016 are supported for Customer Self-Service version 19.1

If I have Fusion UltraData interfaces with Servicing Director, are changes in the interfaces required?
Yes, possible changes to the interfaces would be required if you make changes to the Servicing Director server. For example, if you change the name of the Servicing Director server, then you would have to reconfigure an interface to use the new server depending on your configuration. 

Do I have to upgrade to version 19.1?
When 19.1 is released, the prior version 18.4 will continue to be supported. The current release version and the prior release version are supported. After 19.2 is released, then only version 19.2 and 19.1 are supported, and you should upgrade to 19.1 to be on a supported version. 

How can I test 19.1?
Use a second Servicing Director server as a test system.  If you have a test server with 18.4, the 19.1 installation can be completed on the older server versions supported on version 18.4. You can use the older server versions for functional testing of 19.1.
