Preventing Tellers from Processing Transactions on Inactive or Dormant Accounts
Bank does not want tellers to be able to process transactions on dormant or inactive accounts without a manager approval.
Customer account information is housed on the host mainframe, not in the EZTeller Database.
Dormant account alerts are set up on the customer's account on the host. These normally require a manager override.
Within EZTeller teller roles can be configured so that they cannot do manager overrides.
Special Account Monitor (SAM) alerts can be added to specific accounts so that tellers cannot process transactions on those accounts without a manager override.
EZTeller Roles are configured at the branch level:
- Log into Superview and select a branch as your working group.
- Go to EZTeller Roles > Maintenance and view the teller role list. Note that teller roles with authority level of 1, 2, or 3 are not able to do manager overrides on host messages and teller roles with authority of 4 or higher can do their own overrides on host messages.
- Highlight a role that needs to be changed and then click Edit.
- Select one of the following from the Authority Level drop-down menu: Trainee, authority level 1, Teller, authority level 2 or Sr. Teller, authority level 3.
- Apply and click OK to close the screen.
Supervisor authority level 4 and higher roles are usually not associated with a cash drawer. Those authority levels are assigned to individuals that access Superview.
SAM Alerts
- Log into Superview at the bank level.
