Configuring a Branch Workstation to be Used for Training and Processing Customer Transactions.

You want to use an existing teller workstation for occasional training. You also need to be able to use that workstation to process customer transactions.


Follow these steps to setup roles and workstations:

  1.  Open Superview and select the Admin Bank as your working group. 
  2. Under Bank > Structural Hierarchy, add a Training branch under Admin Bank.
  3.  Configure workstations for the Training Branch.
  •  Under Bank > Workstation Setup, add several workstations to be used for training.
  • Under Profile Options > Workstations > General > Validation Printing, edit Device Type and Port for the validation printer. Apply and OK.
  1. Select Supervisor > Select Working Group > Training Branch. Click OK. 
  2. Click on EZTeller Roles > Maintenance and create several training roles.
  3. Highlight an EZTeller Role then Click on Select Employee and assign employee(s) to the training roles.

 

Follow these steps to set up the Training workstation on a WinXP computer: 
 

  1. On an EZTeller workstation, right click on the Desktop > select New > Folder and name it Ini Files for EZTeller.
  2. Open the Ini Files Folder then click on File > New > Folder and create subdirectories for Live Ini File and Training Ini File.
  3. In Windows Explorer, open C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\EZTeller. 
  4. Open the ezenterprise.ini file using Notepad. Go to File > Save As and save into the Ini Files for EZTeller\Live Ini File folder on the desktop.
  5. Now delete the BranchID and StationID lines from the ezenterprise.ini file in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\EZTeller. 
  6. In that same file, edit or add a line to read Simulation=1 then Save and Close.
  7. Locate the EZLocalcacheENT.mdb in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\EZTeller folder and delete the file.
  8. Start EZTeller.  
  • You will be prompted to select a Workstation ID, pick one from the Training Branch. 
  •  This step writes the BranchID and StationID of the Training Branch into the ezenterprise.ini file.
  1. Copy the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\EZTeller\ezenterprise.ini file into the Training Ini File folder on the desktop.
  2. You can now use any account number and you'll receive simulated host messages.

Steps to change PC from "live" to "training"

  1.  Open Windows Explorer
  2.  Go to Desktop and open the Ini Files for EZTeller\Training Ini File folder
  3.  Copy the ezenterprise.ini file  and paste into C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\EZTeller
  4.  Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\EZTeller and delete the EZLocalCacheEnt.mdb file
  5.  Start EZTeller or Superview  and you will be working in simulated host environment.


Steps to change PC from "training" to “live”

  1.  Open Windows Explorer
  2.  Go to Desktop and open the Ini Files/Live Ini File folder
  3.  Copy the ezenterprise.ini file and paste into C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\EZTeller
  4.  Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\EZTeller  and delete the EZLocalCacheEnt.mdb file
  5.  Start EZTeller or Superview and you will be working in live (normal) environment. 

 

Follow these steps to set up the Training workstation on a Win7 computer: 
 

  1. On an EZTeller workstation, right click on the Desktop > select New > Folder and name it Ini Files for EZTeller.
  2. Open the Ini Files Folder then click on File > New > Folder and create subdirectories for Live Ini File and Training Ini File.
  3. In Windows Explorer, open C:\Program Data\EZTeller. 
  4. Open the ezenterprise.ini file using Notepad. Go to File > Save As and save into the Ini Files for EZTeller\Live Ini File folder on the desktop.
  5. Now delete the BranchID and StationID lines from the ezenterprise.ini file in C:\Program Data\EZTeller.
