Reg CC Holds on Jack Henry Host

Reg CC Holds on Jack Henry Host

EZTeller sends the number of calendar days to the host for hold notices. The number of business days is printed on the form. To determine how many calendar days to send to the host, count tomorrow as day one, the last day the funds will be held and then any days between.

Example One:

The deposit was made on Monday and the funds will be available to the customer on Friday.

Enter 3 in the number of Calendar Days field; Tuesday is the first day, Wednesday is the second day and Thursday is the third day. Enter 4 in the number of Business Days field.  The Deposit Hold Notice will show that funds will be available on Friday, the fourth business day after the date of deposit.

Example Two:

The deposit was made on Tuesday and you are placing a case by case, two day hold. Count tomorrow as the first day; tomorrow night will be the last night the funds are held. Enter 1 for number of calendar days and enter 2 for number of business days. The Deposit Hold Notice will show that funds will be available on Thursday, two business days after the hold was placed.

Reg CC holds are not sent to the host through the Jack Henry teller module.  Reg CC Holds placed during the current calendar day are sent to the host in the same way as those holds sent when the tellers are working on next day. When counting calendars days, tomorrow is always counted as day one. To make sure the hold notice form prints the correct information, you will enter the number of business days based on the business day at top of EZTeller screen.
