Servicing Director Release Naming and Version Numbering Conventions
Finastra implemented a new standardized naming/numbering convention for all products, including Servicing Director.
The first two digits of a version are the last two digits of the year of the release. The second digit is the number of scheduled releases in that year, including major releases and monthly service pack releases. For example, the first Servicing Director release in 2013 was 13.1; the second release in 2013 was 13.2. 14.1 was the first release in 2014.
A third digit is added to the version if there is an unscheduled hotfix release for a given version. A hotfix release typically must be installed over a specific version, and is intended to resolve bug fixes that cannot wait until the next scheduled release. For example, Servicing Director Hotfix 14.2.1 is can only be applied to a 14.2 system, and the third digit in the version number indicates that it is the first hotfix for version 14.2.
