Thin Client Users are Unable to Select Their Correct EZTeller Workstation ID Because the Workstation is Marked "In use" in Error.

Tellers lost connection to the database due to a power outage. Now their Workstation IDs are showing "in use" and when logging into EZTeller, the tellers cannot select their workstations.

Environment:

EZTeller Enterprise in either Citrix or Terminal Service environment

Workaround:

EZTeller was shut down without a proper log off and the workstations are still marked as "in use". We can log the tellers off of those workstations so that the workstations will show as "available".

To manually log the tellers off those workstations:

  • Open Superview and select Branch as your working group.
  • Select EZTeller Roles > Status.
  • Click Select All, then OK.
  • The workstation numbers that are "in use" will be listed under the EZT-Stn# and SV-Stn# columns.
  • Highlight a workstation that needs to have the teller logged off.
  • Click EZT Sign-Off or SV Sign-off.
    • Repeat with other workstations as needed.
    • If other branches are experiencing the same problem you will need to change your working group to each branch and repeat the steps.
  • Tellers can now select the correct workstation when logging into EZTeller in the thin client environment.
